To meet performance goals, Encore is working closely with West Coast Firestop and the design and engineering teams to develop a custom expansion joint strategy that accommodates the building’s movement, structural complexity, and aesthetic requirements.

The project includes:
Heavy-duty decorative plate systems at elevated podium decks
Seismic wall panel joint systems for the vertical exterior walls
Interior gasketed expansion joints for public and back-of-house spaces
Fire-rated blankets and joint covers for code compliance and occupant safety
Encore Building Products continues to help guide the architectural and construction teams from early design through specification and product detailing—ensuring compatibility with structural systems, movement tolerances, and building envelope requirements.
Field execution is being led by West Coast Expansion Joint, under the direction of Project Manager Keith Stohl, whose leadership has helped maintain schedule and quality control across the complex job site.
Installation of the custom-engineered joint systems is advancing in coordination with other trades and façade elements—an essential component in keeping the project on track. Keith’s field knowledge and West Coast’s ability to handle high-profile, large-scale commercial installations have been instrumental in the successful deployment of this system.
Currently approaching fabrication milestones, the expansion joint systems are entering the next critical phase of delivery and installation. As the building nears its 2026 completion target, the joint systems—designed to handle seismic movement without compromising aesthetics or usability—will be fully integrated into the tower’s structural and architectural identity.
